Bunes kayak and hike (<7 hours)

What you can expect:
We meet at our activity center 5–10 minutes before the activity starts. Here, you can park your car and store your belongings during the tour. You will meet the guide and receive an introduction to kayaking. The group will include all levels of experience. You kayak in your own clothes, so make sure to dress according to the weather forecast. We provide life jacket, spray skirt, and gloves (if it’s cold).
The bunes kayak and hike adventure starts with approximate 1,5-2 hour kayak, then you go up on land in Vindstad and hike on a gravel road and later a mellow path ower a hill that separates the fjord from the beach, the walk to the hill top takes approx 40 minutes. After that you have free play 1 hour, you can go down to the water, have a lunch or just stroll around. The beach is huge, it is hard to describe. After that we head back the same way. It is a very nice day activity and you really feel like you earn the visit to the beach after paddling kayak there.
Since we are crossing the fjord on several places we need very good wind conditions for this to be enjoyable, we will let you know a few days in advance if it looks bad. Then we suggest another activity.
The minimum of participants are 4 people.
Practical information
- Arrive at the center (Sakrisoya 2, 8390 Reine) a few minutes before departure (5-10 minutes).
- Bring clothes according to the weather, you kayak in your own clothes. It is good if you have a wind or waterproof jacket, the arms can get a little bit wet from the paddle. Remember that you will walk to the beach, so bring good walking shoes.
- Good to bring a water bottle and lunch in a backpack.
- The entrance is at the backside of the reception house to Sakrisoy rorbuer.
- If you have a car, park it behind the activity center house.
- If the weather is too bad to kayak in we will reach out to you and try to re schedule, if it is not possible, we cancel the tour.
